Folk rock singer songwriter Gedalya tackles hustle and bustle lifestyle with new single

With a finger on the pulse of the city and its go-go inhabitants, Gedalya’s newest single “Take Time Out,” pushes the listener to find time to look inside and find inner peace.

The track is featured on his newest album, 2020 Visionary, and is available now online at gedalyasings.com/music.

“As I watched others around me struggling through the year, I wondered what if everyone just took some time to really dig into how they are feeling and find ways to move forward,” Gedalya said. “The song is that idea come to life. By peacefully by embracing their inner spirituality, I believe those that are struggling could find ways to cope with the increasingly difficult situations that we are all facing in 2020,” he said.

The simple, yet profound lyrics are accompanied by Gedalya’s signature piano backing and a light drums that embody the message of the lyrics in a musical form.

“I wanted the words to really carry the message,” Gedalya said. “So I purposefully created a light melody that blends perfectly with the harmonic accompaniment to create an easy listening piece that reflects what I hope people take from the song – the idea that it is okay to step away from the trials and tribulations of today’s world and secure your peace.”

“Music can be transformational and my hope is that people absorb the song’s message and embrace the joy that can only come from the understanding of your spirituality that comes in times of quiet reflection,” he said.

The song also reflects the folk-rock singer-songwriter’s hope that peace can be created through positive changes.

“Deep down we all want to live in peace,” Gedalya said. “If we can learn to let go of our pride and selfishness, if we take time to think through our actions and their impacts, if we come to understand what it means to be responsible to ourselves and each other in a way that creates positive ripples throughout the world, we can shape the world to reflect our inner peace. This song is the result of my efforts to search inside myself and use what I found to shape a better world.”
