Do you love coffee? Well, then you'll love this song because I was drinking coffee when I wrote it. Then again, if that's the criteria for loving a song, you'll love all of my songs because I was probably drinking a cup of java when I wrote them. Yes, even the ones written late at night. I remember when I wrote this song in the Metropolitan Cafe in Kew Gardens, Queens while looking out of the window. Enjoy!

Lyrics

Through the Glass

Took a walk one winter day, the sky was cartoon blue
Sat down in the corner cafe for coffee and the view
I Stared out at the scene

Through the glass I watch the world as my thoughts go flying past
Every stranger that I see is a world away from me
All these worlds going by so fast
I’m just a stranger, a stranger, a stranger through the glass

Looking back on the years when I was someone else
Moved around a lot while I searched for myself
Sometimes you don't know what you have till you lose what you've got
Sometimes you don't know who you are till you know who you're not

Through the glass I watch the world as my thoughts go flying past
Every stranger that I see is a world away from me
All these worlds going by so fast
I’m just a stranger, a stranger, a stranger through the glass

I’m just a stranger, a stranger, a stranger through the glass, a stranger through the glass.
