We humans have much more commonalities than differences. We all have the same basic needs: food, shelter, social interaction, hope for the future. Yet sometimes we lose sight of this and let our tribal instincts take over. Maybe if we realized just how deep our similarities are, we’d see that we’re all connected like woven threads in a tapestry: All different colors and lengths making up one beautiful whole, each thread as important as every other, and all working together instead of against one another.

Out of me and into you life passes through
Like a spirit swelling in space
All the heart and all the hate, in a circle of fate
Spinning wildly like a wheel in a race

Like a feeling flowing though time
