I wrote this song about the homeless from an outsider’s perspective. We all know they’re out there. Some of us walk past them every day. Yet we usually just ignore them, put them out of our mind, so we don’t have to struggle with our conscience. Next time, I hope you’ll imagine yourself in that person’s battered shoes and ask yourself: If that were me, wouldn’t I want someone to care? And I hope you’ll give that person a dollar, or whatever you can, so they’ll know they haven’t been forgotten.
